【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthecomposition,sizes,dimensions,andphysicalpropertiesofcellularglassthermalinsulationintendedforuseonsurfacesoperatingattemperaturesbetween450and800176F(268and427176C).Specialfabricationortechniquesforpipeinsulation,orboth,mayberequiredforapplicationinthetemperaturerangefrom250to800176F(121to427176C).Contactthemanufacturerforrecommendationsregardingfabricationandapplicationproceduresforuseinthistemperaturerange.Forspecificapplications,theactualtemperaturelimitsshallbeagreeduponbetweenthemanufacturerandthepurchaser.1.2Itisanticipatedthatsingle-layerpipeinsulationinhalfsectionsortheinnerlayerofamultilayersystemmayexhibitstresscracksabove250176F(122176C).1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationandmaybeapproximate.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
